The state of California provided Darryl Jerome Billups with a law license in 1975 after he graduated from the University of California at Davis.
The California Bar Court found Darryl guilty of the following misconduct.
Darryl has been convicted of driving under the influence (DUI) on five (5) occasions. He was also found guilty of engaging in the Unauthorized Practice of Law (UPL) for practicing law while his license was suspended, which is a felony in California.
Darryl the Drunk’s latest conviction came about when he was found by a police officer in Berkeley slumped over his steering wheel with the engine still running. At the time Darryl’s driver’s license was suspended.
Because Attorney Misfits in California are held to a much lower standard of conduct then everyone else, Mark was never criminally charged for engaging in the Unauthorized Practice of Law
As a consequence of his misconduct, the supporters for Attorney Misfits sitting on the California Bar Court punished Byron by gifting him with a 30-day suspension of his law license.
As we speak (ca. September 2012) Darryl practices at 1290 B Street in Hayward, California, which is about 25 miles southeast of San Francisco.
