Attorney Richard Schubach of Raritan, NJ; repeat offender

The state of New Jersey presented Richard Schubach with a law license in 1988 after graduating from Syracuse University Law School.

The New Jersey Office of Attorney Ethics found Richard guilty of misconduct on several occasions as set forth below.

Richards 1st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

In his first visit to the Misfit Tree, Dick was found guilty of:
  1. Failed to communicate with client
  2. Failed to perform diligently on client’s behalf (slacker)
  3. Failed to pay $150 to a judgment creditor as required
As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the New Jersey Supreme Court punished Richard by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

Richards 2nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

Richard was found guilty of serious misconduct in a personal real estate transaction. Specifically, in a business venture with his girlfriend, Dick signed her father’s name on a real estate contract, without his authority (forgery). Dick also failed to safeguard his girlfriend’s funds by using them in a personal business transaction without a written agreement allowing him to so act and without providing her with an accounting.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the New Jersey Supreme Court punished Richard by gifting him with a complimentary 90-day suspension of her law license.

Richards 3rd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  1. Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation
  2. Gross neglect
  3. Failed to communicate with client
  4. Engaged in a pattern of neglect
  5. Failed to perform diligently on client’s behalf (slacker)
  6. Failed to keep client informed about status of legal matter
As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the New Jersey Supreme Court punished Richard by gifting him with a complimentary 90-day suspension of her law license.

As we speak (ca. September 2012) Richard practices at 1124 Route 202 in Raritan, New Jersey, which is about 30 miles north of Trenton.

On his website at www.schubachlaw.com, Dick doesn’t warn prospective victims of being found guilty of misconduct on at least three occasions. I suppose if he did so it would only tend to limit his future victim pool.
