Attorney Melvin Houston of Houston; moronic loser

The state of Texas presented Melvin Houstonwith a law license in 1995 after he graduated from Texas Southern University Law School.

The 165th District Court in Houston found Melvin guilty of the following misconduct.

Melvin represented a client (victim) in a federal civil rights lawsuit. Shortly after he filed a lawsuit on the client’s behalf, Melvin was informed that one of the defendant’s he sued was not a proper party to the case; however, he never took any corrective action, and was later sanctioned by the trial court.

Melvin also failed to comply with mandatory discovery requests and further failed to respond to motions to compel discovery on behalf of his client, which led defense counsel to file a motion to dismiss the case.

After a hearing on the defendant’s motion to dismiss, the trial court ordered Melvin to file discovery responses or risk dismissal of his client’s case. Melvin failed to comply with the court’s order, which resulted in the Court dismissing his client’s lawsuit with prejudice. A dismissal with prejudice means the lawsuit can never be filed again.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Texas Supreme Court punished Melvin by gifting him with a complimentary fully probated suspension of his law license. Zero punishment

As we speak (ca. June 2012) Melvin practices with Melvin Houston & Associates at 1776 Yorktown Street in Houston, Texas.
