Attorney Kenneth Shaw of Warren, OH; unethical deadbeat The state of Ohio presented Kenneth Norman Shaw with a law license in 1980 after he graduated from the University of Akron Law School.
Disciplinary Counsel of the Ohio Supreme Court found Kenneth guilty of the following misconduct.
In one case, Kenny named his children as beneficiaries to a client’s trust, borrowed money from the same client w/o advising her of the obvious conflict of interest and failed to repay the loan.
The loan was for $13,000 with Kenny agreeing to repay it in 6-months at 6% interest, which he didn’t pay. Subsequently, Kenny agreed to make $250 monthly payments on the $13,000 loan; however he only made three payments. The client/victim was forced to sue Kenny the Deadbeat, which resulted in her obtaining a default judgment when Kenny didn’t even respond to the lawsuit.
In another case, Kenny accepted fees in a guardianship matter involving an elderly woman without first obtaining the court required approval to so act.
Kenneth’s Hyperbolic (BS) Defense
Kenneth was found guilty of taking advantage of a client who was vulnerable. Kenny the Loser had the chutzpah to defend his despicable conduct by claiming that his client (victim) was “very sharp mentally” and that he “was trying to protect her from others who were trying to take advantage of her.”
Kenny the Humanitarian obviously missed his calling as a standup comedian by claiming that he only took advantage of her so that others wouldn’t be able to do the same thing. What a guy!
As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Ohio Supreme Court punished David by gifting him with a complimentary 12-month suspension of his law license.
As we speak (ca. September 2012) David practices at 145 Niles-Cortland Road in Warren, Ohio.
