Attorney Jeff Thakker of Spring Lake, NJ; convicted harasser 
The state of New Jersey presented Jeff Edward Thakker with a law license in 1995.
The New Jersey Office of Attorney Ethics found Jeff guilty of the following misconduct.
At one time Jeff represented Jennifer O’Leary and her husband James in a civil matter. Subsequently, James was arrested for assaulting Jennifer and was locked up in the Monmouth County Correctional Center (MCCC).
Jeff a well-respected drunk harassed Jennifer by calling her at home 15 to 20 times. Jennifer told Jeff that her husband was in jail and directed him to stop harassing her. When Jeff continued to harass Jennifer, she called the police. A police office called Jeff and warned him that if he continued to phone Jennifer, he would be charged with harassment. Jeff responded by mocking the officer and inviting him to come to his office so that they could go “mano y mano.” The officer asked Jeff if he was threatening him, to which Jeff replied “he could take it any way he wanted.”
After ceasing his harassing calls to Jennifer, Jeff told the police dispatcher “that he spoke with Judge Pappas and that he officer who is looking for him is in big trouble… [and] to tell the officer that he would meet him anywhere.”
Subsequently Jeff was found guilty of criminal harassment and was fined $350 in fines and costs and ordered to not have any further contact with Jennifer.
As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the New Jersey Supreme Court punished Jeff by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.
As we speak (ca. September 2012) Jeff practices at 215 Morris Avenue in Spring Lake, New Jersey.
