Judge Kenneth Post of Hudsonville, MI; moron, lifetime porker
The state of Michigan presented Kenneth D. Post with a law license in 1972.
Kenneth has dedicated his legal career to porking out at the public trough. Prior to duping the voters into electing him as a District Court judge in 1980, Kenneth worked as an assistant county prosecutor. Therefore, Kenneth has had his significant snout firmly implanted in the public trough for nearly 40 years.
The Michigan Judicial Tenure Commission recently charged Kenneth with the following misconduct.
In one instance, Judge Post ordered a defendant to answer a question as to the last time he had used drugs. The defendant refused to answer pursuant to his 5th Amendment right against self-incrimination.
Judge Post then threatened to find the attorney in contempt of court for advising his client to not answer the questions. Subsequently, Post found the attorney in contempt and had him arrested and placed in jail. In so acting, Judge Post knowingly violated the attorney’s constitutional due process rights.
Within hours of the attorney’s incarceration a hearing was held before another judge who ordered the attorney’s immediate release.
Judge Post’s Hyperbolic (BS) Defense
In responding to Commissions complaint, Judge Post had the chutzpah to claim that he made a mistake in not realizing that the attorney had a right to instruct his client to invoke his 5th Amendment rights in refusing to answer Post’s question.
Post has been a sitting judge for thirty-two (32) years and now claims Ignorance of the law as a defense. Isn’t that just special?
Given the Judicial Commission’s history of giving a wink and a nod to Judicial Misconduct, Post doesn’t have much to worry about. At worst he’ll receive a complimentary reprimand from the enablers for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Michigan Supreme Court.
As we speak (August 2012) Kenneth continues to sit on the District Court in Hudsonville, Michigan which is a suburb of Grand Rapids.
