Attorney John Schiro of Studio City, CA; repeat offender

The state of California provided John Ramsey Schiro with a law license in 1979 after he graduated from the University of California Northridge Law School.

The California Bar Court found John guilty of misconduct on several occasions.

John’s 1st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  1. Failed to return unearned fees (thief)
  2. Failed to respond to client inquires
  3. Failed to provide competent legal services (Dufus)
  4. Failed to provide client file to new attorney after he was fired
John was hired to prepare and a file a civil lawsuit for his client, who had paid him an advance $1,500 fee. John did not file the lawsuit or provide any other legal services of any value to the client. He refused to refund the $1,500 in unearned fees for almost two years.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the supporters for Attorney Misfits sitting on the California Bar Court punished John by gifting him with a 30-day suspension of his law license.

John was found guilty of practicing law without a license which is a felony in Calfiornia. In addition, John falsely advertised that he was a lawyer when in fact his license was suspended in 2007.

John also submitted a probation report falsely stating that he had complied with all pertinent rules. Obviously this was false since he was engaged in the unlawful practice of law.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the California Bar Court punished John by gifting him with a stayed 12-month suspension of his law license. In truth, the comics sitting on the Bar Court didn’t actually mete out any real punishment to John.

As we speak (ca. August 2012) John practices at 4804 Laurel Canyon Blvd. in Studio City, California.
