The state of New Jersey provided Elliot H. Gourvitz with a law license in 1969.
 
The Disciplinary Review Board found Elliot guilty of the following misconduct.
  1. Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation
  2. Required matrimonial clients to sign non-refundable fee agreements
  3. Failed to return unearned fees to client (cheater)
  4. Failed to respond to numerous client calls
  5. Charged a clearly unreasonably fee
  6. Knowingly violated the rules of professional conduct
  7. Failed to take appropriate steps to protect client interest after being discharged
As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Disciplinary Review Board punished Elliot by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.
 
As we speak (ca. August 2012) Elliot practices at 505 Morris Avenue in Springfield, New Jersey.
