Attorney Richard L. Press of Pleasantville, NJ; ethical misfit

The state of New Jersey provided Richard L. Press with a law license in 1978.

The Disciplinary Review Board found has found Richard guilty of the following misconduct.
  • Commission of a criminal act
  • Conduct adversely reflecting on Richard’s honesty and trustworthiness
Richard was criminally charged with several indictable offenses alleging criminal mischief. The criminal complaints alleged that on two dates Richard knowingly or purposefully damaged the personal property of another, specifically seven (7) vehicles. Richard broke off the windshield wipers on the seven vehicles.

Subsequently, Richard was admitted into a Pre-Trial Diversion Program, which required that he make full restitution to his multiple victims.

This wasn’t Richard’s 1st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. In 1988 Edward received a complimentary private reprimand for improperly soliciting clients from his former law firm.

As a consequence of her latest misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Disciplinary Review Board punished Richard by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.
