The state of California provided Michael A. Cartelli with a law license in 1979 after he graduated from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles.
 
The California Bar Court found Michael was found guilty of the following misconduct.
 
In one matter Michael failed to promptly pay out client settlement funds in regards to a personal injury case. The client’s claim was settled for $8,500.
 
Michael’s fees, the client’s share of the settlement and pending medical bills for the client were to be paid from the $8,500. After paying himself and the client her share, Michael failed to pay the client’s medical bills for over three (3) years. During the three years, the money remained under Michael’s control.
 
As a consequence of his misconduct, the supporters for Attorney Misfits sitting on the California Bar Court punished Michael by gifting him with a 90-day suspension of his law license. In truth,
