Attorney Mark Petroff of Elyria, OH; felony tax cheat

The state of Ohio presented Mark Gregory Petroff with a law license in 1979 after he graduated from Ohio Northern University Law School, a 3rd tier law school dedicated to accepting losers that couldn’t gain acceptance at mainstream law schools such as Ohio State, Toledo University, University of Michigan and/or Cleveland State University.

Disciplinary Counsel of the Ohio Supreme Court found Mark guilty of the following misconduct.
  1. Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation
  2. Conduct adversely reflecting on his fitness to practice law
  3. Engaged in illegal/criminal conduct
Mark pleaded guilty to one felony count of attempting to evade federal income taxes. He was sentenced to 4-months of house detention and placed on four years of probation.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Ohio Supreme Court punished Albert by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 1-year suspension of his law license. In truth, the comedians sitting on the Court didn’t actually punish Albert in any significant way.

As we speak (ca. July 2012) Mark practices with Petroff & Associates LLC at 1288 Abbe Road in Elyria, Ohio.
