The state of Pennsylvania presented Thomas E. Butler, Jr. with a law license in 1972.
The Office of Disciplinary Counsel (ODC) found Thomas guilty of being found guilty of the following misconduct.
Over the course of five years, Thomas failed to file a federal tax return in regards to income he earned as an attorney. Said failure led to Tom evading the payment of taxes he owed of $152,040.
Subsequently, Thomas was found guilty of five (5) counts of willfully failing to file tax returns. He was sentenced to 30-days in prison, five months of home confinement, one year of supervised release after his release from prison, 100 hours of community service, and fined $This wasn’t Thomas’ 1st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. He previously received a complimentary Informal Admonition for (a) failing to act with reasonable diligence (slacker), and (b)failing to communicate with clients
As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Pennsylvania Supreme Court punished Thomas by gifting him with a complimentary 12-month suspension of his law license.
As we speak (ca. July 2012) Thomas practices at 1811 Bethlehem Parkway in Flourtown, Pennsylvania.
