The state of Pennsylvania presented Howard Goldman with a law license in 1983.
 
The Office of Disciplinary Counsel (ODC) has Howard guilty of being found guilty of the following misconduct.
  1. Failed to provide competent legal representation (Dufus)
  2. Failing to act diligently (slacker)
  3. Failed to keep client informed about status of legal matter
  4. Failed to comply with reasonable requests for information from client
  5. Failed to reasonably explain legal matter to client to afford client to make informed decisions
  6. Failed to provide client with written fee agreement as required
  7. Failed to take appropriate steps to protect clients’ interests after he was fired
  8. Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation
  9. Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
  10. Engaged in serial neglect regarding client  Howard represented several clients in custody cases. In one matter he
Howard represented several clients in custody cases. In one matter he found it acceptable to lie to the client in fabricating phantom hearing dates in order to cover up his gross incompetence and negligence.
 
Disciplinary Counsel presented evidence wherein Howard was personally sued at least 17 times for activities as an attorney and as a private individual. A review of the court records in those cases disclosed the following facts.
 
  • Four default judgments rendered against Tom
  • A preliminary injunction issued against Tom
  • Five IRS and/or State tax liens levied against Tom
  • Judgments for money Tom owes to doctors, his landlord and to a publishing company
 
As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Pennsylvania Supreme Court punished Howard by gifting him with a complimentary 1-year suspension of his law license.
 
As we speak (ca. July 2012) Howard practices with the Goldman Law Offices PC at 10 Canal Street in Bristol, Pennsylvania
