Attorney Milton Raiford of Pittsburgh; convict

The state of Pennsylvania provided Milton E. Raiford with a law license in 1987. .

The Disciplinary Board found Milton guilty of the following misconduct.

Milton was criminally convicted of obstruction of justice, unsworn falsification to authorities, and tampering with public records.

Milton engaged in a scheme to perpetrate a fraud on the criminal justice system of Alleghany County. He knowingly had a client misrepresent herself as a different client, one who had been charged with various narcotics offenses. The first client went through a preliminary hearing, entered a guilty plea and was sentenced while pretending to be the second client. Throughout the court proceedings, Milton misrepresented the status of the case to the second client.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Pennsylvania Supreme Court punished Milton by gifting him with a complimentary 24-month suspension of his law license.

As expected, the comedians sitting on the Supreme Court reinstated Milton’s law license in late 2010, thus allowing yet another convict to practice law in Pennsylvania.

As we speak (ca. July 2012) Milton practices at the Renaissance Christian Academy in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Caution: Milton does not carry legal malpractice insurance!
