Attorney Christopher Hoxie of Kennewick, WA; slacker

The state of Maryland presented Christopher Michael Hoxie with a law license in 2013 after he graduated from Georgetown University School of Law.
The Washington State Bar found Chris guilty of the following misconduct.
-
Failed to communicate with his client
-
Failed to provide reasonable warning to the clients before withdrawing from the case
-
Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
-
Failed to decline/terminate representation when required to so act
-
Failed to take reasonable practical steps to protect the clients’ interests before withdrawing from the case
-
Failed to clarify the terms of withdrawal and the conditions of their attorney-client relationship, thus misleading his clients
-
Failed to provide the clients with a reasonable and fair disclosure of material elements of the fee agreement and his billing practices
-
Failed to consult with the clients prior to withdrawing
-
Failed to keep clients reasonably informed and explain the implications of the withdrawal so that the clients could make informed decisions regarding the representation
As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Washington State Supreme Court punished Chris by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.
As we speak (ca. June 2026), Chris practices his so-called brand of law at 1030 North Center Parkway in Kennewick, Washington.
