Attorney Lillian A. Ballard of Richfield, MN; fraudster

The state of Minnesota provided Lillian A. Ballard with a law license in 1994 after she graduated from the Hamline University School of Law.

The Minnesota Office of Lawyer Regulation found Lillian guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Engaged in multiple acts of dishonesty relating to her legal and academic background
• Made false statements on a resume she submitted to two law firms when applying for a job as a lawyer
• Gave one law firm a forged law school transcript
• Knowingly made false statements to human resource personnel and the Director
• Engaged in conduct involving, fraud, deceit and/or misrepresentation
• Knowingly made false statements to a person who worked in the recruiting department of one of the law firms

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Minnesota Supreme Court punished Lillian by gifting her with a complimentary 6-month suspension of her law license.

As we speak (ca. June 2026), Lilliam practices her so-called brand of law at 6200 Penn Avenue South in Richfield, Minnesota.
