Attorney Ryan Claridge of Glendale, AZ; ethical goblin

The state of Arizona presented Ryan Patrick Claridge with a law license in 2014 after he graduated from Chapman University Law School.

The Arizona State Bar found Ryan guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Misconduct involved dishonest or selfish motive
  • Violated his duty to the profession, the legal system and the public
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
  • Failed to act fairly with opposing party
  • Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty, or misrepresentation
  • During his client’s dissolution trial, which was conducted virtually over GoToMeeting, Ryan utilized the chat feature to advise his client how to answer questions during her cross-examination
  • The court later viewed the chat messages and issued a minute entry discussing the impropriety of Ryan’s conduct

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders of Attorney Misfits sitting on the Arizona Supreme Court punished Ryan by gifting him with a complimentary 2-year suspension of his law license and assessed costs of $1,200.00.

As we speak (ca. October 2022), Ryan practices his so-called brand of law with the Genesis Legal Group at 711 West Bell Road in Glendale, Arizona.
