Attorney Garvey Biggers of Phoenix, AZ; ethical gremlin

The state of Arizona presented Garvey M. Biggers with a law license in 1995 after he graduated from the University of Arizona School of Law.

The Arizona State Bar found Garvey guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Involved in selfish motive regarding his use of the trust account
  • Garvey took various actions to protect against random, unnoticed IRS levy attempts upon his personal bank account
  • Misconduct involved multiple offenses
  • Inappropriately used client trust account as a personal account, regularly depositing personal funds, disbursing for personal expenses, and taking cash withdrawals
  • Engaged in a conflict of interest involving current clients
  • Violated or attempted to violate the Rules of Professional Conduct, knowingly assisted or induced another to do so, or did so through the acts of another
  • Engaged in a pattern of misconduct
  • Garvey improperly made loans to another lawyer’s clients
  • Improperly advanced funds from his client trust account on behalf of people who he did not represent and on whose behalf he held no money
  • Commingled client funds with personal funds
  • Improperly retained his attorney’s fees in the trust account
  • Failed to fully cooperate with ethics investigators (Up yours, said Garvey!)
  • Failed to safeguard client funds

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders of Attorney Misfits sitting on the Arizona Supreme Court punished Garvey by gifting him with a complimentary 6-month suspension of his law license and assessed costs of $1,200.00.

And lastly,as one would suspect, Garvey fails to mention the misconduct set forth above on his self-serving website at www.garveybiggersfirm.com. Apparently, he chose to conceal this relevant information from prospective clients for the purpose of not limiting his future victim pool.

As we speak (ca. June 2025), Garvey practices his so-called brand of law with the Garvey Biggers Law Firm at  3030 North 3rd Street in Phoenix, Arizona.
