Attorney J. Douglas McVay of Phoenix; certified loser

The state of Arizona presented J. Douglas McVay with a law license in 1965 after he graduated from the University of Arizona Law School.

The Arizona State Bar found Douglas guilty of engaging in the following misconduct regarding his so-called representation of three separate clients (victims) in different criminal matters.
  1. Failed to act with reasonable diligence (slacker)
  2. Failed to properly communicate with clients
  3. Failed to provide and accounting of his fees upon client requests
  4. Failed to provide requested documents to a client
In aggravation, the Bar found that McVay had committed multiple offenses and had a prior disciplinary record.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Arizona Supreme Court punished Douglas by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

As we speak (ca. July 2012) Anthony practices at 207 West Clarendon in Phoenix, Arizona.
