Attorney Nasser Abujbarah of Phoenix; idiotic slacker

The state of Arizona presented Nasser Usama Abujbarah  with a law license in 2008 after he graduated from Arizona State University School of Law.

The Arizona State Bar found Nasser guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

Nasser's 1st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Failed to provide competent representation (dumbo)
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • From May 2009, through April 2010, Nasser filed or noticed an appearance in 285 bankruptcy cases on behalf of debtors
  • Given Nasser’s inexperience, this number of cases far exceeded his capacity to reasonably and promptly represent his clients
  • In October 2009, Nasser began to have problems with some of the bankruptcy cases he handled
  • Several bankruptcy cases were dismissed for deficiencies
  • Failed to communicate with some of his clients
  • In one matter, Nasser filed a false petition and other documents in Bankruptcy Court
  • The petition falsely indicated that it had been signed by the debtors as did the exhibits, schedules, and statements accompanying the petition
  • In a second matter, Nasser failed to include a prior bankruptcy case filed by the debtor and failed to include life insurance and rental income that were required to be listed in the petition schedules and statements
  • In a third matter, Nasser failed to list the debtor’s assets on the debtor’s schedules and the debtor’s income on the debtor’s statement of financial affairs
  • In a fourth matter, Nasser failed to file appropriate documents under Bankruptcy Rules 2014 and 2016 to authorize his employment by and payment from the debtor
  • Failed to meet and confer with the debtors before filing their petition
  • Engaged in a pattern of misconduct
  • Failed to include information about a prior bankruptcy case filed within the last eight years in the petition
  • Nasser also included false information about his payment for representation in the statement of financial affairs
  • Nasser filed a false disclosure statement indicating that the clients had paid for his services when Sellectricon had paid
  • Nasser also falsely declared that he explained to the debtors the relief available to them
  • Misconduct involved multiple offenses
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
  • Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty, or misrepresentation

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the presiding disciplinary judge accepted and approved an agreement for discipline by consent under which Nasse was suspended for two years retroactive to June 3, 2011, when he was placed on interim suspension. Nasser also agreed to pay $2 5,000 to the United States trustee.

Nasser’s 2nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
  • Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty, or misrepresentation
  • Failed to provide competent representation (moron)
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to adequately communicate with some of his clients
  • failed to take necessary steps to protect client’s interest after being discharged

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the presiding disciplinary judge accepted a consent to disbarment by which Nasser of Tempe was disbarred retroactive to the date of his interim suspension, June 3, 2011

As one would suspect, Nasser’s law firm failed to mention his egregious misconduct on its website at www.phillipslaw.com. Apparently, they decided to not mention said misconduct for the purpose of not limiting its future victim pool.

In a vain attempt at levity, the firm claims on its website under “Our Values” by stating “Integrity”

As we speak (ca. January 2025, Nasser practices his so-called brand of law with Phillips Law Group in Avondale, Mesa, Phoenix, Tolleson, and Tucson, Arizona. Nassar’s firm also practices in San Diego and New York City.
