Attorney Michael Toomey of Glens Falls, NY; ethical misfit

The state of New York presented Michael J. Toomey with a law license in 1986 after he graduated from the Franklin Pierce School of Law.

The Departmental Disciplinary Committee of the Third Judicial District found Mikey guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to provide a former client with an account of funds
• Failed to maintain records of deposits to and withdrawals from an attorney escrow account
• Improperly allowed Gallagher to remain a signatory on an attorney escrow account, despite Gallagher's suspension

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Disciplinary Committee punished Mikey by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

And lastly, as one would suspect, Bobby fails to disclose the misconduct aforementioned on his self-serving website at www.michaeljtoomeylaw.com.  Apparently, he chose to conceal this relevant information from prospective clients to assure he wouldn’t limit his future victim pool.

As we speak (ca. November 2024), Mikey practices his so-called brand of law with the Toomey Law Firm PLLC at in Glens Fall, New York.
