Former Judge Michael Carroll of Phoenix, AZ; ethical goblin

The Arizona Commission on Judicial Conduct found  Mikey guilty of engaging in the following misconduct, all of which took place while he was a Phoenix Municipal Court Judge.

• Failed to be patient, dignified and courteous with those with whom he dealt with in his official judicial capacity
• Exchanges from Mikey to Judge Ong, by e-mail and in person, were personally disparaging to Judge Ong and Judge Jeffery
• Mikey’s exchanges with Judges Ong and Jeffrey appeared to be deliberate with the intent to incite others to join in the negative barrage to undermine the authority of the office of the Presiding Judge and Assistant Presiding Judge
• Mikey’s conduct was continuing, deliberate and designed to disparage Judges Ong and Jeffery to affect their ability to conduct their administrative duties
• Failed to uphold the integrity of the judiciary
• Failed to avoid impropriety and the appearance of impropriety
• Failed to uphold the impartiality of the judiciary
• Abused the prestige of his judicial office

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Arizona Supreme Court punished Mikey by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

Subsequently, Mikey did what most Judicial Misfits in Arizona did when facing serious misconduct charges, he agreed to never seek reelection in the future.

As we speak (ca. January 2025), it is rumored that Mikey has an application pending as a bathroom attendant at Cheetahs Gentlemen's Club located at 4125 North 7th Street in Phoenix, Arizona.
