Attorney Richard D’Addario of Newport, RI; ethical troll

The state of Massachusetts provided Richard Peter D’Addariowith a law license in 1971 after he graduated from New York University (NYU) School of Law.

The Board of Bar Overseers found Dick guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to report a Judge's professional misconduct
  • Knowingly assisted Judge Fuyat in conduct violative of the Rules of Judicial Conduct
  • Improperly gave or lent anything of value to a judge
  • Knowinglyviolated ethical rules by lending former Rhode Island Family Court Judge John E. Fuyat $10,000.00

Additionally, Judge Fuyat was tossed off the bench for soliciting “bribes” from Dick and the other 15 Attorney Misfits.

As a direct consequence of his misconduct the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Rhode Island Supreme Court punished Dick by gifting him with a complimentary censure. 1991

And lastly, as one would suspect, Dick fails to mention the misconduct set forth above on his self-serving website at www.daddariolaw.com. Apparently, he decided to conceal this highly relevant information from prospective clients for the purpose of not limiting his future victim pool.

As we speak (ca. April 2024), Dick practices his so-called brand of law with the Law Offices of D'Addario & Collins at One Courthouse Square in Newport, Rhode Island.
