Attorney Anthony Zeolla of Avon, CT; ethical troll
The state of Connecticut provided Anthony Vincent Zeolla with a law license in 1998 after he graduated from Georgetown University School of Law.
The Statewide Grievance Committee found Tony guilty of the following misconduct.
-
Engaged in unethical conduct in connection with his representation of John and Nellie Valentino and William and Judith Mitchell
-
Never filed an appearance in the foreclosure matter on behalf of the Valentinos
-
After advising the Valentinos that he could file a motion for stay of execution of ejectment, he never did so
-
Failed to act on the Valentinos matter
-
Tony failed to appear at a scheduled mediation session regarding his client Ms. Shields’ foreclosure action
-
A judgment and order of foreclosure by sale was subsequently entered against
-
Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Screw you, said Tony!)
-
Failed to communicate with his client about status of her case
-
Failed to appear for scheduled mediation session on client Virginia Guimond’s foreclosure action
-
Tony filed an appearance on behalf of the Mitchells, however, thereafter, William Mitchell never heard from Tony again
As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the patron saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Statewide Grievance Committee punished Tony by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.
As we speak (ca. April 2024), Tony practices his so-called brand of law with the Law Office of Anthony V. Zeolla at 20 Tower Lane in Avon, Connecticut.
