Attorney Kevin Tabe of Frisco, TX; cheating slacker
The state of Maryland presented Kevin Tabe with a law license in 2009 after he graduated from the University of Baltimore School of Law.
The Office of Disciplinary Counsel (ODC) found Kevin guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.
-
Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
-
Failed to safeguard client funds in an attorney trust account
-
Failed to make required deposits in an attorney trust account
-
Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
-
Charged unreasonable fees (cheater)
-
Failed to adequately communicate with his clients
-
Repeatedly to appear at court-scheduled hearings in a timely manner without good cause
-
Failed to competently represent two clients in matters in connection with federal immigration proceedings (moron)
-
Failed to deposit fees into a trust account
-
Failed to appear at preliminary hearing on client’s behalf
-
Did effectively explain the asylum process to his client
-
Submitted an asylum application with several important errors
-
Lost his client’s only form of photographic identification
-
Caused his client to not appear at a merits hearing
-
Neglected to include a required affidavit with a motion to reopen
As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Maryland Supreme punished Kevin by gifting him with a complimentary 90-day suspension of his law license.
As we speak (ca. March 2024), Kevin practices his so-called brand of law at 15625 Leadenhall Street in Frisco, Texas.
