Attorney Stourton Smith of Elyria, OH; drunken loser

The state of Ohio presented Stourton Scott Smith Rebekah Jill Glover with a law license in 1995 after he graduated from Valparaiso University School of Law.

The Lorain County Bar Association found Stourton guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Conducted official court business after consuming alcohol
• Smelled of alcohol, acted erratically, and in contravention of expected standards of an attorney while practicing law
• In December 2022, Judges Whie and Bennett received reports from court staff that Smith smelled strongly of alcohol and acted erratically while in court
• Judge White witnessed Smith drop an armful of files coming into his courtroom
• Judge White also observed Smith speaking so loudly to a prosecutor during a hearing that it was distracting and interfered with the ongoing hearing

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Ohio Supreme Court punished Stourton by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. April 2024), Stourton practices his so-called brand of law with Smith Legal Services Co. LPA at 633 West Broad Street in Elyria, Ohio.
