Attorney Brian Macala of Salem, OH; ethical troll

The state of Ohio presented Brian John Macala with a law license in 1995 after he graduated from Valparaiso University School of Law.

Disciplinary Counsel found Brian guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Misconduct involved dishonest or selfish motive
  • Misconduct involved multiple offenses
  • Failed to communicate to estate fiduciaries and beneficiaries that he had file false waivers
  • Mad a false statement to a tribunal
  • Singed waivers on behalf the heirs and the fiduciary without their knowledge or consent
  • Filed false waivers with the forged signatures to the probate court

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Ohio Supreme Court punished Brian by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

And lastly, because Attorney Misfits in Ohio are held to a much lower standard of conduct than everyone else, Brian was never criminally charged with forgery and/or any other crime involved in perpetrating a fraud upon the probate court.

As we speak (ca. April 2024), Brian practices his so-called brand of law at 117 South Lincoln Avenue in Salem, Ohio.
