The state of Kansas presented Philip Robert Sedgwick with a law license in 1983 after he graduated from Washburn University School of Law.

The Kansas Disciplinary Board found Phil guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Negligently violated duties he owed to his clients
• Failed to provide competent representation (moron)
• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Failed to communicate with his client

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the Cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Kansas Supreme Court punished Phil by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 6-month suspension of his law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Kansas Supreme Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Phil.
