Attorney Allan Gurvitz of Bloomfield Township, MI; ethical elf

The state of Michigan presented Allan Gurvitz with a law license in 1967 after he graduated from Wayne State University School of Law.

The Tri-County Hearing Panel #64 found Allan guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Failed to return client phone calls
• Failed to communicate with his clients
• Failed to advise his clients of the existence of a two-year statute of limitations for medical malpractice
• Falsely advised his clients that he had not been able to find a medical expert to support their medical malpractice case

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Michigan Supreme Court punished Allan by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand and assessed investigative costs in the amount of $52.05.
