Solicitor Derek Sorrenti of Ontario, CAN; moronic loser

The Law Society of Upper Canada presentedDerek Francesco Sorrenti with a law license in 1997 after he graduated from Queen’s University of Ottawa School of Law.

The Disciplinary Hearing Panel for the Law Society of Ontario found Derek guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Acted in a conflict of interest in representing both the lender and the borrower
• Acted contrary to the Rules of Professional Conduct and did not follow the rules on joint retainers
• Failed to provide competent advice (moron)
• Failed to respond top client communications
• Mishandled trust funds by taking fees for his mortgage administration services to which he was not entitled
• May have mishandled or misappropriated trust funds by taking fees for his mortgage administration services to which he was not entitled
• May have knowingly participated in a fraud against his clients by communicating inflated values of properties to them

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Law Society punished Derek by gifting him with a complimentary 90-day suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. March 2024), Derek practices his so-called brand of law with Sorrenti Law Professional Corporation at 206-716 Gordon Baker Road in North York, Ontario, Canada.
