Attorney Craig Fine of Staten Island, NY; thieving loser

The state of New York presented Craig Albert Fine with a law license in 2006 after he graduated from the New York School of Law.

The Appellate Division Grievance Committee found Craig guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Failed to maintain separate accounts for client/third-party funds and his personal/business funds
  • Misappropriated (stole) client funds entrusted to him as a fiduciary involving three individual clients (thief)
  • Failed to hold client funds entrusted to him as a fiduciary in 16 matters, incident to the practice of law, in the total amount of $258,248.84 in the client escrow account
  • Commingled client funds with personal funds
  • Failed to abide by the rules governing the maintenance of an attorney's escrow account
  • Used his escrow account for investment transactions,

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Grievance Committee punished Craig by gifting him with a complimentary 1-year suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. February 2024), Craig practices his so-called brand of law at 159 New Drop Plaza in Staten Island, New York.
