Attorney Shannon Gray of Clackamas, OR; ethical dwarf

The state of Oregon presented Shanon Gray with a law license in 2001 after he graduated from Oklahoma City University School of Law.

The Disciplinary Counsel found Shannon guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Failed to maintain client funds in a trust account
• At no point did Shannon or the client sign any agreement for the earned-upon-receipt attorney fee
• Shanon provided a client an unsigned fee agreement and then received a $3,000 check, as part of an earned-upon-receipt attorney fee, to represent the client on a criminal matter
• Improperly collected a non-refundable fee
• Revealed confidential information relating to the representation of his client without authorization

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Oregon Supreme Court punished Shanon by gifting him with a complimentary 30-day suspension of his law license.

And lastly, as one would suspect, Shanon fails to mention the misconduct set forth above on his self-serving website at www.perklegal.com. Apparently, he decided to conceal this relevant information from prospective clients so that he would not limit his future victim pool.

As we speak (ca. January 2024), Shanon practices his so-called brand of law with Perkins Law LLC at 10121 SE Sunnyside Road in Clackamas, Oregon.
