Attorney Clifford B. Singer of Waldwick, NJ; degenerate liar

Unfortunately, the state of New Jersey presented Clifford B. Singer with a law license in 1984. Even more unfortunate, Georgia and D.C. also presented Clifford with a license in 1981 and 1982 respectively.

The New Jersey Office of Attorney Ethics found Clifford guilty of the following misconduct.
  1. Gross neglect
  2. Lack of diligence (slacker)
  3. Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty and/or misrepresentation
  4. Negligent misappropriation (stole) of client funds
  5. Failed to maintain adequate trust account records
  6. Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Up Yours, said Clifford!)
  7. Failed to communicate with client
  8. Made misrepresentations (lies) in a personal injury matter
In one personal injury case, Clifford knowingly lied to his client that the case had been settled and he was merely waiting for the settlement check to arrive. Cliff did this with the knowledge that the case had already been dismissed by the trial court. Subsequently, the client/victim filed a successful malpractice lawsuit against Cliff the Liar.

Clifford’s Hyperbolic (BS) Defenses

As to lying to his client that her case was settled and awaiting the settlement check, Clifford defended his lies by telling the investigators, “In my mind I was seeking either restore it or make amends.” Reminds of that old saying by Yogi Berra “a mind is a terrible thing to waste.”

Cliff also blamed his misconduct on medical problems of various family members which he claimed caused him to be depressed. Cliff actually told the investigators, “…I can’t help but believe that yeah, it’s part of what made me less than I should be.” Only a gutless coward would blame his dishonest behavior on his children’s medical problems! What a disgusting loser!

As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the New Jersey Supreme Court punished Clifford by gifting him with a reprimand.

As we speak (ca. July 2012) Clifford practices law at 36 Franklin Turnpike in Waldwick, New Jersey.
