Attorney Merwin Spencer of Everett, WA; thieving slacker
The State of Washington presented Merwin Moe Spencer with a law license in 2008 after he graduated from Seattle University School of Law.
The Washington State Bar found Merwin guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

Charged and/or collected an unreasonable fee (crook)

Failed to decline/terminate representation when required to so act

Failed to expedite client litigation

Failed to act fairly in dealings with opposing party and counsel

Engaged in the illegal practice of law in jurisdiction where he wasn’t licensed

Improperly employed disbarred attorney

Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice

Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty, or misrepresentation

Failed to deposit client’s advance fees into respondent’s trust account

Failed to refund unearned fees

Failed to surrender client filed upon being terminated

Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Screw you, said Merwin!)

Failed to respond to opposing counsel’s motions

Failed to appear for properly scheduled court dates

Failed to keep client informed of status of matter

Made one or more misrepresentations [lied] to his client
As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Washington Supreme Court punished Merwin by gifting him with a complimentary 3-year suspension of his law license.
As we speak (ca. January 2024), Johnny practices his so-called brand of law at 800 Fifth Avenue in Seattle, Washington.
