Attorney Edward McKenzie of Morristown, NJ; convicted fraudster

The state of New Jersey presented Edward P. McKenzie with a law license in 1982 after he graduated from Georgetown University School of Law.

The New Jersey Office of Attorney Ethics found Eddie guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Knowingly concealed the crime of obtaining property under false pretenses as part of his role in a larger bid rigging conspiracy
  • Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty, or misrepresentation
  • Committed a criminal act that reflects adversely on a lawyer’s honesty, trustworthiness, or fitness
  • Gave an Alford Plea in the Superior Court of the Virgin Islands to one count of compounding a crime

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the New Jersey Supreme Court punished Eddie by gifting him with a complimentary one-year suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. January 2024), Eddie practices his so-called brand of law at 222 Ridgedale Avenue in Morristown, New Jersey.
