Attorney David Perez of Thomasville, NC; ethical dwarf

The state of North Carolina presented David A. Perez with a law license in 1989 after he graduated from the University of Tennessee School of Law.  

The Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar found Davey guilty of the following misconduct.

• After a district court judge entered an ex parte order temporarily granting child custody to Perez’s ex-wife, Perez confronted the judge during a criminal session of court
• Davey’s intemperate and inappropriate confrontation with the judge resulted in revocation of his courthouse security credentials
• Hearing to modify child support subsequently heard by a different judge
• At the hearing, Davey repeatedly interrupted hearing, talked over the judge, and continued to argue with the judge after she sustained opposing counsel’s objections

As a direct consequence of his misconduct the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar punished Davey by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

As we speak (ca. December 2023) Davey practices his so-called brand of law at 32-C Trade Street in Thomasville, North Carolina.
