Attorney Daniel Ruggiero of Newton, MA; ethical elf

The state of Massachusetts presented Daniel Goldsmith Ruggiero with a law license in 2006 after he graduated from the New England School of Law.

The Board of Bar Overseers found Danny guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Improperly shared legal fees with a nonlawyer
• Lied that he was part of a legal organization as opposed to being a solo practitioner
• Outsourced all major decision and client work to a nonlawyer
• The outsourcing of Danny’s decision making was outsourced to employees who were not attorneys
• Failed to properly supervise underlings
• Failed to properly supervise underlings
• Failed to communicate with his clients

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Board of Bar Overseers punished Danny by gifting him with a complimentary 1-year suspension of his law license. 

As we speak (ca. January 2024), Danny practices his so-called brand of law at 275 Grove Street in Newton, Massachusetts.
