Judge Emily Spear of Los Angeles; ethical troll

The state of California provided Emily Theresa Spear with a law license in 2005 after she graduated from Fordham University School of Law. Emily also obtained a license to practice in Illinois in 2007.

FYI: Emily has had her significant snout firmly implanted in the public trough for the past seventeen (17) years. Apparently, no self-respecting law firm in the greater Los Angeles area was about to offer Emily a good paying job.

The Commission on Judicial Performance found Emily guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Engaged in a pattern of behavior that conveyed a persistent disregard and disrespect for her judicial and administrative obligations
• Made a mockery of her obligations regarding following instructions from her supervising judges (Up yours, said Emily!)
• Engaged in numerous unauthorized and undocumented absences and early departures from court
• Made disparaging remarks about a judicial colleague
• Engaged in discourteous conduct toward her supervising judge
• Made false statements to, her supervising judge
• Manipulated her judicial calendar for her personal benefit

As a direct consequence of her misconduct the apologists for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Judicial Commission punished Emily by gifting her with a complimentary admonishment.

As we speak, (ca. December 2023), Emily continues to dispense her so-called idea of jurisprudence as a Los Angeles County Superior Court judge in Los Angeles, California.
