State Sen. Joan Huffman of Houston, TX; arrogant avarice award

The state of Texas presented C. Joan Huffman with a law license in 1984 after she graduated from the South Texas College of Law in Houston.

Joan found it perfectly acceptable to take advantage (in truth bilk) of her contributors for the following outlandish expenses.

• $27,535 in December 2022 to Range Rover Austin for long-term lease payment for campaign use of officeholder’s vehicle. (Joan’s vehicle)
• $37,935.24 in November 2022 to The Blue Ground in Austin to pay for rent and utilities for an Austin Apartment. (No legislative sessions held in 2022)
• $8,242.78 for 3 dinners for staff members (January, April, and May)

Does anybody believe that 10 individuals who contributed $250 each and the 46 that contributed $500 each during the October 30,2022 thru December 31, 2022, period were made aware that their contributions would go to pay almost $30,000 for a Range Rover, $40,000 to rent an apartment in Austin, or over $8,000 on three meals to feed her compatriots?

Don't you think that Joan had a moral and ethical duty to advise her donors that she intended on spending there contributions on the outlandish expenses set forth above?

And lastly, Joan gives avarice and arrogance a bad name!

As we speak (ca. December 2023, Joan continues to allegedly represent the best interests of her constituents in the greater Houston area. She also practices her so-called brand of law at 3733 Westheimer Road in Houston, Texas.
