Attorney Richard Lee of Phoenix, AZ; rubber check afficianado
The state of Arizona presented Richard Lee with a law license in 1977 after he graduated from Arizona State University School of Law.
The Arizona State Bar found Dick guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

Failed to maintain the required copies of trust account records
-
Failed to respond to the trust account examiner’s inquiries
-
Made erroneous disbursements
-
Took no action to replenish funds missing from the trust account
-
Dick was the court-appointed arbitrator in a civil case
-
He conducted the arbitration hearing but failed to issue a notice of decision contrary to rules of procedure and a court order to do so
-
Engaged in pattern of misconduct
-
Failed to maintain respect due courts of justice and judicial officers
-
Knowingly disobeyed an obligation under the rules of a tribunal (Up yours, said Dick!)
-
Failed to safeguard client funds
-
Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
-
Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Screw you, said Dick!)
-
Failed to adhere to IOLTA rules resulting in four insufficient funds notices (aka, rubber checks)
As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Arizona Supreme Court punished Dick by gifting him with a complimentary 90-day suspension of his law license and assessed $1,350.88 in investigative costs.
As we speak (ca. December 2023), Dick practices his so-called practice of law with Community Legal Services in Phoenix, Arizona.
