Attorney William Fernandez of Bay Shore, NY; moronic slacker

The state of Connecticut provided William A. Fernandez with a law license in 2001 after he graduated from the Brooklyn School of Law.

As one would suspect, this wasn’t Billy’s First bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. He previously received two (2) complimentary reprimands and one (1) 5-month suspension of his law license for engaging in a variety of misconduct.

The Statewide Grievance Committee found Billy guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Failed to provide competent representation (moron)
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to send letter in English rather in Spanish to El Salvadorian client that he knew was not able to read it that his law license had been temporarily suspended
  • Sent one or more letters in English to the client
  • Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Screw you, said Billy!)
  • Improperly controlled and/or owned a law firm while license suspended
  • Failed to adequately communicate with his client

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Statewide Grievance Committee punished Billy by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. December 2023), Billy practices his so-called brand of law with Immigration Translators & Interpreters at 1795 5th Avenue in Bay Shore, New York.
