Attorney Melanie Beauchamp of Phoenix, AZ; ethical troll

The state of Arizona presented Melanie Beauchamp with a law license in 1991 after she graduated from the University of Virginia School of Law.

The Arizona State Bar found Melanie guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Failed to communicate with a client
  • Failed to perform a fee look back and charged a client an unreasonable fee
  • Improperly continued to represent a client after she learned of a concurrent conflict of interest
  • Knowingly failed to safeguard property where she disbursed settlement funds despite her knowledge of a third-party’s interest in the funds
  • Improperly enriched herself to the detriment of her client and a third-party
  • Pursued claims and motions for sanctions without a good faith basis
  • Knowingly misrepresented facts to a third-party
  • Disrespected the rights of others by raising inflammatory issues with no proper purpose
  • Improperly communicated with a represented party
  • Violated the duty she owed to her client, the legal system and to the profession
  • Misconduct involved multiple offenses
  • Misconduct involved dishonest or selfish motive
  • Frivolously portrayed herself as a gender bias victim, all without a proper purpose
  • Engaged in a pattern of misconduct

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Arizona Supreme Court punished Melanie by gifting her with a complimentary 24-month suspension of his law license and assessed investigative costs of $2,707.55.

And lastly, Melanie was ordered to pay restitution for $49,716.96 to her former client (aka, victim).

As we speak (ca. December 2023), Melanie practices her so-called practice of law with the Beauchamp Law Office PC at 4425 East Agave Road in Phoenix, Arizona.
