Attorney Robert Barrett of Wilmington, DE; ethical elf

The state of Delaware presented Robert Thurston Barrett with a law license in 1965 after he graduated from Columbia University School of Law.

The Office of Disciplinary Counsel of the Delaware Supreme Court found Bobby guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to safeguard client funds
• Bobby’s former law firm had been entrusted with certain funds, which resulted from recovery from personal injury action, and which were to be given over to client when she reached majority
• After several years elapsed and client reached majority, claim was made against Bobby's firm, which had at the time dissolved

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Delaware Supreme Court punished Bobby by gifting him with a complimentary 3-year suspension of his law license.  

As we speak (ca. November 2023), Bobby practices his so-called brand of law in Wilmington, Delaware.
