Attorney Scott Anderson of Milwaukee; serial offender

 

The state of Wisconsin presented Scott F. Anderson with a law license in 1985 after he graduated from the University of Wisconsin School of Law.

 

The Office of Lawyer Registration (OLR) found Nicole guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

Scottie’s 1st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Neglected a client’s false imprisonment claim
  • Failed to file suit in the matter of the false imprisonment claim
  • Failed to inform his client that no lawsuit had been filed
  • Failed to respond to client calls
  • Neglected a couple’s persona injury action against police
  • Failed to act with due diligence
  • Failed to comply with client information requests
  • Clients did not learn that Scottie would not be filing suit until after the statute of limitations had run
  • Failed to obey a court order (Up yours, said Scottie!)

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Wisconsin Supreme Court punished Scottie by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

Scottie’s 2nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to keep client informed of status of matter
  • Failed to explain a matter to the extent reasonably necessary to permit the client to make informed decisions regarding the representation
  • Failed to withdraw representation when withdrawal was required

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Wisconsin Supreme Court punished Scottie by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

Scottie’s 3rd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to keep client informed of status of matter
  • Failed to explain a matter to the extent reasonably necessary to permit the client to make informed decisions regarding the representation
  • Failed to comply with client information requests
  • Failed to advise client of developments in their matter

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Wisconsin Supreme Court punished Scottie by gifting him with a complimentary 60-day suspension of his law license.

Scottie’s 4th bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Charged with ten (10) counts of misconduct
  • Failed to timely consult with his client about the Miranda-Goodchild motion or interlocutory appeal
  • Failed to keep client informed of status of matter
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to timely advise his client he would not file the requested motions or interview witnesses, and by Failed to timely consult with the client about additional discovery the client believed to be outstanding
  • Failed to comply with client information requests
  • Failed to timely request the co-defendant's plea/cooperation agreement

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Wisconsin Supreme Court punished Scottie by gifting him with a complimentary 60-day suspension of his law license and was assessed investigative costs of $19,339.98.

 

As we speak (ca. November 2023), Scottie practices his so-called brand of law with the Scott F. Anderson Law Office at 207 East Buffalo Street in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
