Attorney Steven Burrows of Tucson, AZ; ethical goblin

The state of Arizona presented Steven M. Burrows with a law license in 1995 after he graduated from the University of Arizona School of Law.

The Arizona State Bar found Stevie guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Stevie was appointed personal representative of his mother’s estate, and also was a beneficiary along with his two sisters
  • Stevie misappropriated [stole] funds requiring the sisters to retain counsel, and ultimately the court removed him as PR
  • Stevie threatened physical harm to his sisters, their counsel, and a family friend, and also threatened to sue them, if they did not meet his demands
  • He was arrested for violating A.R.S. §13-2921, Harassment by Communication, and A.R.S. §13-1202.A.1, Threats by Intimidation with Injury and Damage
  • Misconduct involved dishonest or selfish motive
  • Engaged in multiple offenses

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Arizona Supreme Court punished Stevie by gifting him with a complimentary 2-years suspension of his law license and assessed investigative costs of $1,223.48.

As we speak (ca. December 2023), Stevie practices his so-called practice of law at 6840 North Table Mountain Road in Tucson, Arizona.
