Attorney Duncan Brent of Silver Spring, MD; idiotic slacker

The state of Virginia presented Duncan Kenner Brent with a law license in 1993 after he graduated from Washington University School of Law. Duncan also received a license to practice in the District of Columbia and Virginia in 1998.

The Virginia State Bar Disciplinary Board found Duncan guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Failed to serve client complaint within 12-month time allotted to do so
• Failed to refile client case within 6-month time limit
• Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Up yours, said Duncan!)
• Failed to safeguard client funds
• Failed to promptly pay or deliver to a client or another funds requested by such person which the person is lawfully entitled to receive
• Failed to provide competent representation (idiot)
• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Failed to communicate with client

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Virginia Bar Disciplinary Board punished Duncan by gifting him with a complimentary 1-year suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. November 2023), Duncan practices his so-called brand of law at 11709 Leesborough Circle in Silver Spring, Maryland.
