Attorney George Norris of New Bern, NC; ethical elf

The state of North Carolina presented George Norris with a law license in 2012 after he graduated from Campbell University School of Law.

The Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar found George guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Engaged in an egregious conflict of interest
  • Represented client in criminal case and later undertook to represent her friend in a civil action against the client
  • Used the first client’s confidential information to her detriment and for the benefit of the second client

As a direct consequence of his misconduct the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar punished George by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

And lastly, as one would suspect, George fails to mention the misconduct set forth above on his self-serving website at www.doziermillerlaw.com. Apparently, he decided to conceal this highly relevant information from prospective clients for the purpose of not limiting his future victim pool.

As we speak (ca. November 2023), George practices his so-called brand of law with Ward Smith & Norris PA at 314 New Street in New Bern, North Carolina.
