Former Judge Mark Schindler of Persia, NY; bigoted slacker

The New York Commission on Judicial Conduct found Mark guilty of engaging in the following misconduct, all of which took place while he was sitting as a Justice of the Persia Town Court.

• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Failed to make mandatory reports and remittances to the State Comptroller in a timely manner
• Imposed fines and surcharges outside the legal limits set in statute
• At the arraignment of a defendant who identifies as Native American, Mark made snide comments about the defendant's annuity from the Seneca Nation
• State Comptroller issued a notice to stop payment of Judge Schindler's salary because he failed to make mandatory monthly certifications of cases disposed and timely remittances of court funds collected

Rather than await a ruling that likely would have resulted in him being tossed off the bench, Mark did what any cowardly Judicial Misfit does, he resigned from the bench.

As we speak (ca. November 2023), it is rumored that Johnny has an application pending as a greeter at Walmart Supercenter Store at 317 South Cascade Drive in Springville, New York.
