Attorney Magdy Anise of Jersey City, NJ; convicted scammer

The state of New Jersey presented Magdy F. Anise with a law license in 1987 after he graduated from Rutgers University School of Law.

As one would suspect, this wasn’t Magdy’s First bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. He previously received a complimentary censure for engaging in a variety of misconduct.

  • Pled guilty in federal court to structuring money transactions to evading government reporting requirements
  • Committed a criminal act that reflects adversely on the lawyer’s honesty, trustworthiness or fitness as a lawyer in other respects
  • Engaged in conduct involving dishonesty, fraud, deceit, or misrepresentation
  • Magdy’s purpose of evading reporting requirements, caused a bank to fail to file a required report

The New Jersey Office of Attorney Ethics found Magdy guilty of engaging in the following misconduct

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the New Jersey Supreme Court punished Magdy by gifting him with a complimentary 6-month suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. November 2023), Magdy practices his so-called brand of law at 2974 Kennedy Blvd in Jersey City, New Jersey.
