Attorney John Doonan of Beverly, ME; ethical dwarf

The state of Maine presented John Doonan with a law license in 1985 after he graduated from the University of Maine Law School. Johnny also obtained a license to practice in New York in 1985 and Massachusetts in 1984.

Panel E of the Grievance Commission of the Maine Board of Bar Overseers found Johnny guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to maintain adequate trust account records
• Negligently used client funds
• Failed to safeguard client funds

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Maine Supreme Judicial Court punished Johnny by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.
